Our goal is to eliminate the scourge of lethal cancer
We are actively working to eliminate cancer by:
DEFINING RISK: We are developing the field of “carcinogenomics” as an innovative framework combining comprehensive whole genome sequencing (WGS) with untargeted exposomic profiling to transform lethal cancer risk prediction.
EARLY CANCER DETECTION: We are developing a cancer detection platform that utilizes a person’s hair to detect the presence of cancer. Our goal is to detect cancer early while it can still be cured with local therapy - surgery or radiation
REDEFINING TREATMENT: We have discovered that treatment resistance is enabled by an adaptive cell state that cancer cells use to escape cytotoxic therapies. The cancer cells enter an “endocycle” which allows them to become dormant and “hibernate” while the toxic therapy is present. These cells then re-emerge when the therapy threat is gone, resulting in cancer recurrence.
